Over the last few months, PE Americas and PE INTERNATIONAL have been collaborating with a leading CAD software manufacturer – SolidWorks – to develop an add-in to the software that allows designer to evaluate the environmental impact of their designs on the fly.
Meanwhile a beta version of the add-in was released on the SolidWorks labs website, for evaluation and debugging purposes.Once the final version is released in the fall, the add-in will be incorporated into the CAD software of more than 1 million SolidWorks users worldwide.
